How to install HP Laserjet 1020 driver for Mac OSX?

HP Laserjet 1020 printer model is quite old and outdated and officially does not support Mac’s but there is a workaround if done correctly, you can use the printer with your Mac’s.

This is what you need to do.

1. Download HP driver bundle https://support.apple.com/kb/dl907?locale=en_US
2. Turn on the HP laserjet 1020 printer and connect to your Mac PC through USB cable.
3. Add new printer select the plus sign.
4. On the HP printers list select HP Laserjet 1022 (not 1020)
5. Once installed print a test page.

The HP LaserJet 1020 has no Mac drivers on its HP driver site. Only Windows and Linux support is available. There are other drivers available in the HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for OS X that is downloadable from Apple.
