Apple obviously are not responsible for the last minute urgency after months of ignoring a need for a change. I've seen the mad rush happen in software companies many times for different operating system changes. It kind of reminds me of the last minute studying for exams at college.:). It's not surprising in the least. My cousin and I are both in the graphics, illustration and sign business and, have been utilizing Wacom tablets since they first came out. I mean, MS and Apple release developer betas as much as 6-8 months ahead of the official releases, for this very reason: so developers and hw manufacturers can have their stuff ready for the actual release to the general public.
